The emazys Tempirra is a wireless environmental sensor designed specifically for use alongside the Z300 family of PV testers. It addresses one of the most common gaps in field electrical testing — the absence of simultaneous, timestamped irradiance and temperature data — by streaming live environmental measurements directly into the emazys app while string tests are being conducted.
Irradiance measurement is handled by the Apogee SP-110-SS pyranometer, a calibrated silicon-cell reference sensor with a spectral range of 360–1,120 nm that closely matches the response of silicon PV modules. This makes it well-suited for correcting Isc measurements to standard test conditions and for assessing soiling-related yield losses. Module temperature is captured via a PT1000 RTD sensor attached by suction cup to the rear of the module under test, and ambient temperature is measured simultaneously by a second PT1000 in free air — both channels using a 24-bit ADS1220 ADC for ±0.5°C accuracy.
In use, the Tempirra connects automatically to the Z300 app via Bluetooth and runs in the background throughout testing. Environmental readings are timestamped with each string test result and uploaded to the emazys cloud platform alongside the electrical data, providing a complete, correlated dataset for performance analysis, commissioning reports, and O&M documentation — without any manual data entry.

Soiling & Bifacial Support
Accurate irradiance measurement is essential for soiling loss quantification and bifacial yield assessment. The Apogee pyranometer can be positioned at the module plane for front irradiance or repositioned to capture rear-side irradiance for bifacial analysis.
Z300 Ecosystem Integration
Compatible with the Z300, Z300 PVT, and Z300 HE. Connects automatically when the emazys app detects both devices. Environmental context is embedded in every test report — ideal for commissioning documentation and performance ratio calculations.
